I recorded this in a dark, smoke filled room while wearing corpse paint and parachute pants. It is a very deep song about despair and alienation and other stuff.
Nihilism is a sort of a slow death of the soul. Unlike physical death, which always brings new possibilities, nihilism eats away at the core of a being until they are no longer mentally or emotionally open to new possibilities of growth.
The jaded, "seen it all" desensitized mentality of the herd, no matter how elite they may consider themselves to be, is little more than a social cancer to be combated vehemently as we embark collectively upon the adventure of a new aeon.
Find something to live for .'. .'.
lyrics
The irony, you think you're free
Being who you want to be
Fuck the violence in your scene
And fuck the hive drone colony
Carrier rats of the emotional plague
I'll say it clear, I won't be vague
What's liberation if you're only reacting?
A whole lot of posturing, disease contracting.
Counterculture does not exist.
Self important masochist.
Feed yourself a loser script.
Swallow rehashed, trite bullshit.
Slap some logos on my record, I'm a sham
Here's an inverted pentagram!
Pseudo-intellectual sophistry,
Dressed up as philosophy.
Let's get high, let's get drunk
We'll both go out and then we'll fuck.
We'll probably feel guilty later,
Pretty Selfish Immolator.
Counterculture does not exist.
Self important nihilist.
Feed yourself a loser script.
Swallow rehashed, trite bullshit.
